Students will build collaboration and communication skills in group projects and presentations, as well as creativity and critical thinking skills. Students can get involved in faculty research into management, analytics, innovation and marketing.
The program also features the Field Consulting Program, which pairs students with a partner company to solve real problem or explore potential business opportunities. The program offers a Project Management concentration to give graduates the skills to take a leadership role in complex projects. Sample courses include Project Analytics and Project Management Fundamentals.

WSU is a public, research university headquartered in Fairborn, Ohio. It was founded in 1967, after breaking away from Ohio State University and Miami University. Wright serves over 16,600 students, and offers a 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio. It conveys bachelor’s (over 90 programs), and master’s and doctoral degrees (more than 130 programs) through schools of Education and Human Services, Business, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health, Science and Mathematics, and more. WSUs online MBA can be taken on a part-time or full-time schedule. Some courses may not be offered online in this program, and students can build an on campus, online or hybrid delivery method that suits their lives. The Project Management courses tackle project planning, execution, and control. Students will study how businesses, governmental agencies, and not-for-profits execute projects to further organizational goals. Courses cover planning, budgeting, and scheduling, contract and subcontract management, negotiation and dispute resolution, and current project management software and tools. The program culminates in a final project: planning, carrying out, and reporting on a service project for a non-profit client.

Walden is a for profit private school headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Walden is part of a network of 80 universities owned or managed by Laureate Education Inc. Most of Laureates schools are outside the United States. Walden was established in 1970. It serves over 52,500 students and has an 18:1 student-to-faculty ratio. Walden University has been regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, a regional accreditation agency, since 1990. A Senate committee that compared Walden to other comparable universities found it to have extremely competitive pricing.

Walden offers an online MBA in Project Management. The program can be taken through Waldens proprietary “Tempo Learning” method, which is self-paced and competency-based. The program requires 36 total credits, broken into 24 semester credits of core courses, 9 credits in the specialization, and a Capstone for 3 credits. Students can transfer up to 18 applicable credits. They’ll build skills in people motivation, teamwork, supervising complex projects and produce cost-effective results through this program. Students will use firsthand experience to understand how to avoid common problems in complex projects through real-world exercises.
